Gentle Yoga with Connie

Are you busy, often rushing, feeling stressed and needing a way to slow down? Maybe you are an older person, recovering from an illness or injury and want to return to exercise. Perhaps you are wanting to explore Yoga to see how it can be of benefit to you.

Welcome to Gentle Yoga with Connie; a truly gentle, mindful and calming Yoga class that also gradually builds strength, improves balance and encourages better breathing. The class is suitable for those with prior Yoga experience as well as those who have absolutely none. Men are also welcome. Taking student situations into account, Connie offers alternatives for each pose, ensuring student safety and comfort. Each class ends with a 15-minute guided relaxation, giving the whole body time to integrate and rest. There is also an optional social aspect with ‘coffee’ afterwards at a nearby café, fostering a sense of connection and community.

Connie began exploring Yoga in her teens and began her working life as a science and biology teacher. She combines her knowledge of human anatomy and physiology with Yoga poses and breathing techniques to impart the why as well as the how of what we are doing. She loves learning and is forever researching or reading about how Yoga can be of benefit to our health and wellbeing (physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual).

Connie completed her in-depth Yoga training with IYTANZ (International Yoga Teachers Association) in 2018 and is registered with the ACC Live Stronger for Longer programme.
